SLEEP

They say we spend a third of our lives sleeping. It has also been said that the positions we sleep in can tell a lot about our personalities. What then does the randomness of children’s sleeping positions mean? Is it an indication of their developing personalities or are they just trying to get comfy?

“Sleep” is a project that existed only in my head for a long time. I have four beautiful children and when each of them was young I found a fascination in the way they slept. I found myself during their nap time just staring at them, amused by the odd positions they would end up in.

I also found that in one so young and free of worries from life, they emanated a sense of calm and peacefulness. There is a kind of serenity that pulses from them. For my youngest, I decided to try and capture this. I hope you feel some of that tranquility.
